The Ache of Being

The Ache of Being riflette sulla brutalità dei deplorevoli eventi di questi ultimi anni: instabilità politica, abusi umani ed ecologici, crisi economiche e l'ascesa della destra. L'artista vede il mondo mentre sta implodendo fisicamente, sentendo il bisogno dell'umanità di scappare, per poi, forse alla fine, imparare a tollerare la realtà esistenziale di come sono le cose.
 
Imparare ad affrontare il mondo è un viaggio lungo, che alla fine ti insegnerà a vedere un'oscurità più luminosa.
 
The Ache of Being è stato esposto per la prima volta nel marzo 2023 a Parigi. Nella Serene Gallery di Lugano è possibile vedere la nuova versione curata di “The Ache of Being” di Alessio Boni.
 
Alessio Boni
 Alessio Boni (1982) vive e lavora a Parigi.
 
In precedenza ha trascorso 17 anni a New York lavorando come fotografo di moda. Mentre sviluppa il proprio percorso artistico, ha scattato per pubblicazioni e marchi internazionali come Vogue, Interview Magazine, Dust, Financial Times e marchi come Miu Miu, Versace e Jean-Paul Gaultier.
 
Il suo approccio al mezzo fotografico oggi si è evoluto in un percorso multimediale sperimentale, mescolando digitale e analogico, pigmenti, luce solare e acqua per creare immagini che si trovano tra figurativo e astratto nel tentativo di creare un universo in cui lo spettatore possa immergersi.
Nel 2022 partecipa alla mostra collettiva Exposition Collective Libre N.3 al 3537, iniziata da Comme des Garçons e Dover Street Market a Parigi.

The Ache of Being reflects on the brutality of the deplorable events of these most recent years: political instabilities, human and ecological abuses, economic crises and the rise of the Right-wing. The artist sees the world as it is physically imploding, feeling the urge of humanity to escape, for then, maybe at the end, learning how to tolerate the existential reality of the way things are. 
 
Learning how to cope with the world is a journey, a long one, which will finally teach you how to see a brighter darkness.
 
The Ache of Being was first exhibited in March 2023 in Paris. In Serene Gallery in Lugano you can see the new curated version of “The Ache of Being” by Alessio Boni.
 
Alessio Boni
 Alessio Boni (b. 1982) lives and works in Paris. 
 
Prior to which he spent 17 years in New York working as a fashion photographer. While developing his own artistic path, he shot for international publications and brands such as Vogue, Interview Magazine, Dust, Financial Times and brands like Miu Miu, Versace and Jean-Paul Gaultier.
 
His approach to the medium of photography today has evolved into an experimental multimedia path, mixing digital and analogical, pigments, sunlights and water to create images that lie between figurative and abstract in an attempt to create a universe in which the viewer can immerse himself.
In 2022 he took part in the group exhibition Exposition Collective Libre N.3 at 3537, the space initiated by Comme des Garçons and Dover Street Market in Paris.
