Serene gallery presents If Only We Could Fall Asleep, a collection of artworks exploring the theme of dreaming at Colla.Super in Milan
During these complex and uncertain times we find ourselves in, dreams can provide us with a special space to reflect on reality that surrounds us. The selected artists explain how dreams have been a source of inspiration to them: for Jolie Alien, dreaming is a visionary oblivion;  for Augusta Alexander, a psychoanalytical introspection; for Victoria Kosheleva, a fairy tale bordering with a nightmare. Dreams can be both an opportunity to envision ideas, and also a refuge to escape from the mundane. Creating art is often similar to dreaming: it allows one to dissolve into an environment, to give an outlet to subconscious emotions, or to unite multiple impressions into a single image.
A dream can be an inexhaustible source of inspiration. Sometimes even providing answers to questions too frightening to ask.

What are you dreaming about right now?

Curators: Alexandr Blanar, Sofia Guzzo
