“Something New, Something Borrowed” is a new series of exhibitions in Serene Gallery. We like experiments, we like to discover new names for ourselves and for our audience. Each group show within “Something New, Something Borrowed” will unite artists working in different styles. We invited artists who are now based in Paris, Milan, Tel-Aviv and Los-Angeles to participate in the first edition of the exhibition. Different colours, different experience and background.
Ricardo Fumanal made us look at ordinary things in a new way. His pencil drawings made us fall in love with the things which we usually don't notice.
Sergey Bondarev creates his own world in his paintings, we can see fashion, we can feel style in his characters. We want to be friends with his creatures and know all their lives and stories.
Martin Kovalenko, on the other hand, creates an intense atmosphere in his paintings. Spectators are mesmerised by his works and guessing what will happen next in the plot.
Nikita Croco in his new series put all his attention in childhood. At the same time, his works are so mature and make us think about what we have lost from our childhood’s dream.
In the end, we are sure that everyone will find something new for themselves from these works. And maybe be able to borrow some new ideas or feelings.
