Martin Kovalenko

Martin was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and now lives and works in Los Angeles. He has been drawing and painting since his teenage years, moving to LA at the age of nineteen, where he continues to develop his work across painting, drawing, and film.

His artistic language is shaped by mythology, sexuality, sensuality, dreams, and the tension between the conscious and unconscious mind. Working between image-making and cinema, Martin is drawn to psychological landscapes, symbolic figures, and charged moments that feel suspended between beauty, desire, and unease. His paintings and drawings often suggest private worlds where the body becomes both subject and metaphor, and where intimacy, vulnerability, and darkness quietly coexist.

In his drawings and sketches, Martin explores sexuality within dreamlike landscapes, placing seemingly isolated figures into compositions that reveal hidden emotional and psychological connections. His works are held in private collections in Paris, London, New York, and Los Angeles.
