Learning how to cope with the world is a journey, a long one, which will finally teach you how to see a brighter darkness.
The Ache of Being was first exhibited in March 2023 in Paris. In Serene Gallery in Lugano you can see the new curated version. The Ache of Being reflects on brutality of deplorable events of these most recent years: political instabilities, human, economic and ecological crises and the rise of the right-wing governments. The artist sees the world as it is imploding, feeling the urge of humanity to escape but hopes that maybe in the end there is a way to learn how to tolerate the reality of the way things are.

Alessio Boni
Alessio Boni (b. 1982) lives and works in Paris. Prior to this he spent 17 years in New York, working as a fashion photographer. While developing his own artistic path, he shot for international publications and brands such as Vogue, Interview Magazine, Dust, Financial Times and brands like Miu Miu, Versace and Jean-Paul Gaultier.

His approach to the medium of photography today has evolved into an experimental multimedia path, mixing digital and analogical, pigments, sunlight and water to create images that lie between figurative and abstract in an attempt to create a universe in which viewers can immerse themselves.
In 2022 he took part in the group exhibition Exposition Collective Libre N.3 at 3537, the space initiated by Comme des Garçons and Dover Street Market in Paris.
